Week 1 - First post!

 Jun 9- 13, 2025

Errors I run into while trying to make Dpipe and moby2 work:
  • Multiple deletions and then reinstallations of the libraries because of errors through the installation process 
  • Dpipe having trouble finding moby2.utils after installing both of them correctly (apparently I didn't :( )
Also, I was sick for a few days, so slow progress. Plans for the next week: read paper for the journal club, get Dipe and moby2 running, start the Summer School

Week ? - Thoughts and plans

Recalibrating My dad visited me recently. And honestly, having him here stirred so much in me that I have no idea how to put myself back together. For most of my life, I believed I was raised in a world of only pain and survival. My mom's worldview shaped my own: that the world was a harsh place, that everyone was out there to harm you, and you had to sacrifice yourself just to earn safety or even love. Now, Dad's presence showed me a new kind of love and perspective on this world that I've never experienced before.  I started meditating a lot about how and why I ended up here, as I still don't understand why it's still so hard for me to bring myself to do what has been my lifelong dream. Week 2 - trying to get some momentum

   Jun 16- 20, 2025 Reading paper  Measurement and Modeling of Polarized Atmosphere at the South Pole with SPT-3G to discuss in Cosmo Coffee next Tuesday. This is taking me way longer than expected, and it's honestly really frustrating. I stop to Google a concept every 30 seconds, but I guess that's how it's supposed to go. Went over Lecture 1 of Cosmology Summer School Attended Cosmo Coffee and CLASS weekly meetings Met with Rui on Friday, and she helped me with the installation of Dpipe and Moby2. We couldn't figure it out, but we made good progress Still really frustrated with this week's progress. I was feeling pretty down about still not being able to set up Dpipe and Moby2. In my mind, they were just simple libraries that I needed to install, and somehow I couldn’t forgive myself for not being able to do it in one afternoon, as I thought it was going to go.
